About Me

As a PhD student at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, my research focuses on natural language processing, in particular on spoken question answering. I am investigating the approaches to transform the spoken QA task into machine understanding based QA to improve accuracy and deal with uncertainty in speech recognition systems. I am pleased to be supervised by Ebru Arısoy Saraçlar and Arzucan Özgür for my PhD research.

I graduated from the Faculty of Computer Engineering, Galatasaray University in 2012. I continued my education in ENS -Lyon where I studied bionformatics and focused on in silico experimental evolution systems. I received my second master’s degree in 2019 from the Faculty of Computer Engineering, Bogazici University, where I worked on a question answering system using deep learning methods for spoken documents and was advised by Ebru Arısoy Saraçlar and Arzucan Özgür.
